Due to high demand from the public for information
regarding pet food, GRI has added a Public Service, at no cost to
the recipient of the award, a ‘ Pet Food of the Year”
Seal of Approval ( see Press Release).
Manufacturers
may submit their pet food to the Glycemic Research Institute by
October of every year, for consideration of the Award, which is
given out annually.
To
qualify for Pet Food of the Year, the product be Low Glycemic, and
formulated without meat-byproducts, or ingredients known to be harmful
to animals. Further, the food must be nutritious and palatable,
with a focus on longevity.
The
Glycemic Research Institute does not use animals of any form in
their research, and promotes animal rights groups, particularly
animal rescue.
